Nikon D7000 Review

Image
Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera (Body) (Free Sandisk 8GB SDHC + Nikon DSLR Bag) (16.2MP CMOS, EXPEED 2, 1080p HD Video, 3" LCD, Twin SD/SDHC/SDXC Card Slots, 39 Point AF System) Nikon D7000 - the new Nikon DSLR that some believed is the Nikon D90 replacement. Nikon D7000 construction is closer to the Nikon D300S’s as both cameras have a magnesium alloy body shell rather than the polycarbonate version of the D90. In some ways the Nikon D7000’s specification surpasses that of the D300S, not least in pixel count. In addition, the Nikon D7000 is only the second Nikon DSLR to feature Full-HD video technology, the D31000 was the first, and it has a more advanced metering system than any other Nikon DSLR as it uses a 2,016 pixel sensor. There’s also a new 39-point AF system that sits comfortably between the 11-point and 51-point systems found in the Nikon D90 and D300S respectively. One of the most interesting features of the Nikon D7000 is its full-time autofocus (AF-F) mode that operates w...

SONY NEX-5K Review

Image
Sony's NEX-5 is the first of new hybrid camera model from Sony, offering a large-size APS HD CMOS sensor capable of 1080i HD movie capture and high quality images to the heady heights of ISO 12,800. HD movie 1080i can be captured at 60fps in addition to high quality stills from ISO 200 through to a whopping ISO 12,800. When it comes to image quality, the NEX-5 really stands apart from competitor models. In terms of image noise, ISO 200-800 are exceptionally clean, with a slight colour noise presence creeping in progressively thereafter but having no profoundly negative impact as far as ISO 3200. ISO 6400-12,800 show more considerable signs of detail loss due to noise reduction, yet are both of a good enough quality to use, no qualms about it. Specification: * 14.2-megapixel effective recording * APS-C size HD CMOS image sensor (23.4 X 15.6 mm) for rich tonal gradation and true-to-life color * includes 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens (35mm equivalent focal length: 27-82.5...

The worldx's first interchangeable lens camera with an APS-C sized sensor offering the performance and image quality of a DSLR plus the portability, convenience and ease of use of a compact camera. Samsung NX10 equipped with 3" AMOLED display Samsung is also manufacturer of AMOLED screens and the Samsung NX10 profits from that. The camera has a 3-inch AMOLED display on the back. That outclasses the usual LCD-displays, not only in terms of quality, but also in terms of energy use. If you would rather use a viewfinder, then the NX10 also has an electronic viewfinder. Image noise control is also very good, producing reliably noise-free images at 400 ISO and usable images at 800 ISO in quite low light, although performance at 1600 ISO leaves something to be desired. Specification: Body material Metal and plastic Sensor • APS-C type CMOS (23.4 x 15.6mm) • 15.1 million total pixels • 14.6 million effective pixels • RGB (Primary) color filter array Dust...

Canon EOS 7D Review

Image
Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera Body (18 MP, 3" LCD, Advanced Movie Mode, 8 fps, ISO 12800) The Canon 7D is designed for speed, with dual DIGIC 4 chips to speed processing of these large 14-bit files, as well as keep up with the shutter's 8-frame-per-second top speed. Even the sensor had to be tweaked to enable such speed, with an 8-channel readout to more quickly draw the image off the sensor. The Canon 7D's buffer can handle 94 JPEGs at top speed, or 15 RAW images. For its part, the Canon 7D's shutter mechanism is rated at 150,000 cycles, and is the same design used by the 1D-series of Canon digital SLRs. EV compensation has been expanded to five stops in either direction, and the ISO ranges from 100 to 6,400, with an expanded setting up to 12,800. The Canon 7D also sports an HD movie mode that will capture full HD at 30p. The built-in flash has a wider range to handle up to 15mm wide-angle lenses, like the new EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, and the flash can al...
