  1. Hi,
    You mentioned
    Flash duration: 1/200s - 1/20000s;
    I even noticed on the product manual that it says
    Flash time: 1/200s - 1/20000s;
    but how do we set this? I cannot figure out this option.

    Thanks for any help.

  2. Flash duration is dependent on flash power. At full power, the flash will have a duration of 1/200s, at 1/128 power it will have a duration of 1/20000s.

  4. I just tested my YN560 with my E-P1. I connected them using a PC synch cord through a Nikon hotshoe adaptor. The E-P1's max flash sync is rated at 1/180s but using a cord I can sync up to 1/320s.

    I took several shots at full power, at shutter speeds from 1/320s to 1/60s. I maintained an aperture of f/8 at ISO 200 throughout, which gave correct exposure at the given distance.

    Results:

    Absolutely no difference whatsoever. The exposure remained the same at all shutter speeds. I did not lose any flash power by shooting over 1/200s.

    Conclusion:

    Make your own mind up, but I don't believe the 1/200s flash duration at max power claim. It's actually better than that - at least it is on my particular metal-footed version.
